Melisa Varol, who has dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since childhood, was accepted to the Royal Veterinary College of London in September 2016 and graduated as an operating veterinarian in June 2024. In order to complete her MRCVS, RVCS and EAEVE accredited education, she completed a minimum of 1 month internship in each branch, pet animals, farm animals, horses and exotic animals, at Queen Mother Hospital for Animals. Before starting her undergraduate studies, she had the opportunity to work with various safari animals for 1 month in July 2015 at Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa with different animal species. Between 2013 and 2015, she took part in the health checks and care of the horses of the horse club where she was riding. During her studies at RVC, she did a total of 3.5 years of internship and supervised work in different clinics in London, Istanbul and Bodrum. Her main areas of interest are pet health and surgery, animal welfare and ethics, exotic animals and horses. She has 2 cats named Berf and Bucur, a dog named Luna that she adopted from the streets in Bodrum, and 3 guinea pigs named Fluffy, Puffy and Sparkle.
